Music released on cassette tape has long been associated with punk, metal and noise but less so with electronic music. However, this has been a mainstay for electronic artists since their inception. The film explores this lineage and specifically at the current and thriving resurgence of new experimental electronic music being released on tape.
Told through a diverse and international perspective the film features artists putting out music on cassette, established and new independent cassette tape labels and the collectors/listeners. It also looks at the DIY process behind these releases, the artwork and editioning that adds to their collectability.
